In one month, this girl:
will be marrying this guy:
And I’ll be wearing a different kind of white dress!
Today marks the official one-month mark from the day I wed Jeremy Cherry.
I am stunned | anxious | excited | joyful | nervous | happy | in shock | giddy | pumped.
Whew.
So many emotions! The time just keeps flying and I’m just craving for the time to slow down and speed up at the same time! My mind is a jumbled mess at times with all of the emotions and to-do lists, and oddly, I’m not ready for the planning process to be done.
But, I am excited to share that incredible day with all of the ones we love and haven’t seen in far too long. And most of all, I’m excited to share the day with the man I’ll call my husband.
There’s been lot of work, sweat, ideas, design, time and love that has gone into this process. It’s going to be a beautiful summer day filled with emotions I’m anxious to feel and emotions I can’t even imagine I’ll feel.
So, what’s my plan?
To relax and take it all in. To live it up and love it up. I’m going to enjoy every single second of time with friends I’ve been dying to see and time with family that I miss every day.
Stress – Be Gone!
PS—thanks to Chris and Adrienne Scott for these incredible photos!!
I had the opportunity to get back to my VA roots last weekend and shoot a fellow TAD + JMU alum’s wedding! Jessica and I worked with the infamous Frank Ameka at TAD, and even traced back to working at The Breeze (JMU student newspaper) together. I’ve know Jessica a while, and I was honored to join along to document her + Patrick’s big day! Look our for the full post soon!
Meet Jacie + Evan. They are two sweet souls and so sweet together. They were married on April 14 and it was such a beautiful day. Beautiful weather, beautiful sunshine, beautiful people and beautiful love! I shot this wedding with Ms. Tausha Ann–she’s just fabulous! Check out her shots on her blog, too! We both were shooting for Complete MVP.
The ceremony took place at The Village Chapel before the reception at the Marriott at Vanderbilt. Before the ceremony, we took some quick shots at Centennial Park. The unfortunate thing…it was the day of a HUGE kids festival. Whew…it was so difficult to find a simple spot to get some portraits, but it worked out perfectly and Jacie was as calm as ever!
A couple of guys just happened to drive by with this purple car and a bridesmaid made a bold move to ask to borrow the car for some photos, and the guys gladly agreed! The car matched perfectly and was a funny coincidence of the day!
Oh gosh, this makes me so happy. My mom is a best friend, so I can’t help but gush when moms and daughters are together on the wedding day–love you momma, this will be us so soon!
Jacie and Evan didn’t want to do a first look, but this was our little way to photograph them together beforehand. So sweet!
How could I not include this photo from the reception!? This little boy had such personality and was quite photogenic…can’t ya tell?
Congratulations Jacie + Evan!
After a whirlwind week, I’m finally back on the blog. Since last week, I’ve shot another wedding, made a trip to VA and did a few shoots. The weeks just keep flying, but I’ve been having a blast with all of the photo opportunities!
I’ve been so excited to share this wedding with you. It was such a classic + beautiful wedding, and Jacie was just about the calmest bride! She was just so excited to get married and nothing could faze her. We took some photos in Centennial Park, and even had a little surprise show up, so stay tuned next week to see the rest of this shoot!
Such an incredible tree! Can’t wait to go back for another portrait session, this tree has so much character!
