Summer Wedding at Big Spring Farm in Lexington, VA: Bethany & Andrew

Every couple I get to work with at Big Spring Farm in Lexington, VA has this incredible admiration for their family, whether it be family by blood or endless time spent together. Bethany & Andrew fit that vision perfectly as their story was one many years (about twenty years!) in the making…dating back to their time together in elementary school! So, needless to say, they had quite the community surround them on their wedding day. From grade school, high school, college, different cities and schools, their community had a number of layers and stories.

Bethany & Andrew both have hearts of gold. Between education and the medical field, these two serve the people around them endlessly. They were incredibly warm & inviting from the first time I met them, so I can only imagine how their friends & family truly feel about them. Though, I did get a beautiful glimpse of that on their wedding day. Plus, they are both JMU Dukes, so they get bonus points right there!

They both got ready in downtown Lexington, and then we all headed over to Big Spring Farm for their lovely summer ceremony under the trees. After, they joined their cocktail hour on the grounds in front of the barn before an evening full of amazing toasts and dancing in the barn. Their friends & family gave some of the best toast I’ve heard, and her dad’s toast left me in tears.

We ended the evening with some gorgeous portraits at golden hour overlooking the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains. Talk about a perfect summer evening!
