Warm Wedding Inspiration at Tuckahoe Plantation in Richmond, VA

It’s funny people show up in different seasons of life. The incredibly talented Lauren of Lauren Emerson Events and I originally crossed paths while we were both in Nashville. I had reached out to her while in Nashville to connect over coffee or lunch some day, but for various reasons the timing didn’t work out, as I reached out shortly before we ended up deciding to move back to Virginia.

Fast forward to last summer and I saw her post about being in Virginia, so I reached out and she shared that she would be relocating to the Richmond area with her husband! We finally were able to connect later in the fall after her official move, and it’s been such a treat to get to know her and see her business grow here. Ya’ll, she’s a wealth of talent and Virginia is so lucky to have her!

We collaborated on an inspiration shoot earlier this summer, as we were eager to work together and eager to dream something up together at the beautiful and iconic Tuckahoe Plantation. Lauren curated the most beautiful vision of warm, buttery tones mixed with modern elements and a touch of black to tie in with the tones of Tuckahoe Plantation. The historical charm of Tuckahoe Plantation was the perfect juxtaposition with the modern table design – I mean, don’t you just adore these pieces from Emerson James Rentals?! We had an incredible team of vendors come together to make this shoot come together, and I’m grateful to share some favorites from our shoot. Thank you to the amazing team who made this vision come to life!
