Jewel Tone Wedding at Early Mountain Vineyards in Charlottesville: Rebecca & James

On a chilly fall day, James & Rebecca’s family and friends gathered around the cozy fireplace at Early Mountain Vineyards to watch them wed. From the jewel tones to winter fruits to the lovely velvet accents and candle light, James and Rebecca’s wedding was everything warm and everything lively.

We all know Early Mountain is one gorgeous venue any time of the year. I have a special fondness for the main event hall, so it was a treat to see Rebecca & James use the gorgeous indoor space. Since the sun set a bit earlier as winter was approaching, they opted for an indoor ceremony, which provided the most romantic atmosphere. The fire crackled, the candles flickered, the string lights hung above and the guitarist strung along.

Their day was woven with intention. Instead of the traditional bridal party, Rebecca had a “house party” so she could simply get ready with her very best girlfriends. They all picked a jewel tone dress they loved and gathered around Rebecca as she got ready to keep the mood light and the laughs flowing. After James & Rebecca had their first look, we did their portraits in front of the barn on the property that Rebecca loved so much (so much so, it was featured on their invite as an illustration!) before heading indoors for a private Ketubah signing ceremony before their main ceremony.

After their ceremony, the two danced their night away and James’ grandmother even joined in on the Horah.. there was no shortage of joy for these two!
