Fall is well-known as the most popular time of year for family photos – and for good reason! It’s one of the most gorgeous times of year here in Charlottesville, the weather is nice and temperate and the lovely golden light never ceases to amaze me.
Since it’s so popular, I figured it was to time to share some more outfit inspiration! You may have enjoyed my spring post about some outfit ideas, so I wanted to bring a few more ideas! Of course, any of these outfits could be tweaked in many ways, and similar outfits could be found at your favorite places to shop. These are simply some great starting points.
Along with some inspiration, here are a few of my favorite tips for fall:
1. Pick a base outfit or two, and pull colors from that outfit to build upon.
2. Bring in texture and pattern! Fall is full of cozy layers, so knits & fun textures bring such a nice touch.
3. Unless taking photos at the peak of fall when the warm colors are vibrant, I typically suggest avoiding green as a main color, as you can blend in with the surroundings.
4. Choose something you can move in and/or materials that have movement – think flowy dresses, layers and knits – even velvet!
5. Above all, choose something you love and feel like yourself in!
