Summer Family Photos in Charlottesville, VA: Baby’s First Birthday

A baby’s first year milestone. It’s bittersweet to watch your babies grow…you love learning more and more of who they are yet you want to just freeze time here and there. To soak up the way they hold you, the way their face scrunches up when they laugh…the way they toddle, the way they eat…I could go on an on.

Getting to help families freeze time, even just for a moment is such a joy, especially for big milestones like baby’s first birthday. If you’ve been following along for the last couple of years, then you’ve most likely seen this beautiful family before, and you’ve seen them grow over the years as they grew from a family of three to a family of five. I posted this little man’s 6 month session not too long ago, as I’ve been a bit behind on session blogging, but I’m excited to share his one year session today. (And you can see his newborn session here)   This was actually my first session after maternity leave back in May,  and it turned out to be the perfect evening!
